AEG'S KATHLEEN WHITLEY PRESENTS TO THE AEE ON OFFSHORE WIND INITIATIVE
AEG’s Kathleen Whitley will be presenting Monday, September 20, 2004 at 7 pm at the AEE-Long Island chapter meeting on the Long Island Offshore Wind Initiative (LIOWI), a unique coalition of over 30 local and national groups working with LIPA to bring the benefits of Wind Energy to Long Island. Her presentation will include discussion of the proposed 140 MW wind farm to be built 3 to 6 miles southwest of Robert Moses State Park. The meeting will be held at NYIT’s campus in Old Westbury.

AEG HAS ANNOUNCED ITS PARTNERSHIP WITH UTILITY PURCHASING MANAGEMENT GROUP (UPMG)
AEG and Utility Purchasing Management Group have announced a partnership to compile and deliver comprehensive utiltiy purchasing and procurement benchmarking data through the the Utility Purchasing Management Group (UPMG) Annual Benchmarking Study. The UPMG is committed to providing its members with tools to help them improve the procurement services they offer to their customers and clients. This is the first of what will be an annual benchmarking study designed to target key procurement, warehousing, and material management indices.
AEG will collect and analyze data from accross the industry and develop the benchmarking reports that are delivered at the annual conferences. To maximize the market research effort, AEG has developed an online toolset of data collection, analysis and management tools that will be utilized throughout the study, allowing study participants to enter and record their comprehensive benchmarking data in an online system. AEG will manage and analyze the data, create a study report, and present the findings at the 2004 UPMG Conference being held in Chicago in September 2004. AEG SELECTED TO EVALUATE BERMUDA ELECTRIC'S 2004 ENERGY COOPERATIVE PROGRAM
AEG has been chosen to evaluate the impact and performance of Bermuda Electric Light Co.'s 2004 Energy Cooperative Program. This peak load reduction program calls upon Bermuda's largest customers with full-service generation capacity to switch to self-generation in respoinse to peak demand periods. This comprehensive evaluation will be conducted in November after the conclusion of this year's program and will provide BELCO management with detailed performance indicators and recommendations on how to maximize program impact in the future.

AEG'S JOE LOPES NAMED VP OF LI AEE
AEG's Joe Lopes has been named a Vice President and Board Member of the Long Island Chapter of the Association of Energy Engineers (AEE). Joe was previously awarded the Energy Professional Development of the Year for 2001 by AEE for his work in providing training in energy topics as part of his client work.
